F. Initiatives Spain will be sponsoring and joining Placemaking Week Europe, the most significant European event on Urbanism and Innovation
F. Initiatives Spain will be joining Placemaking Week Europe, as sponsor with a speech included. The event is the most important one in the field of Urban policy, it will be held in La Marina, Valencia (Spain) from the 12th to the 15th of June.
More than 400 professionals from 50 countries will join the event deliberating on strategies and urban policies that promote the transformation of cities and the creation of inclusive environments.
The event will offer more than 35 working sessions and a score of keynote speeches, among which we would like to highlight the panel “Creative Bureaucracy. The local authorities, your partner in placemaking?”. This conference will take place on Friday, June 14th from 12.15 to 14.000 pm, with the participation of Laura Capel, Grants Manager of the F. Iniciativas Grants Management Team.
Capel will present the technical assistance services and support to innovation that F. Initiatives Spain provides to public administrations by giving them easier innovation access and management, as well as assisting them through the whole process of project development to foster innovation.
The seminar will be also joined by: Anna Sommardal, Project Coordinator for the research program Future Urbanisms (Uppsala University, Sweeden); Timo Hämäläinen, Strategic research and projects on well-being from the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra (Finland); the Migration expert Papa Balla Ndong working for the socio-digital center WOORA (Valencia- Spain); Kate Philip, Senior Economic Development Adviser at the National Treasury of South Africa; Miguel Jaenicke, arquitect expert on urban innovation at MARES (Madrid- Spain); Laura Sobral, urban practitioner and researcher, directot of the Instituto A Cidade Precisa de Você (Brazil) and Alexandra Saliba, researcher and cultural management expert from Greece.
Moreover, this international panel will be conducted by Charles Landry (United Kingdom), International Expert in Urban change and widely known for popularize the concept of “Creative cities” and the urbanism specialist Jaap Schoufour (The Netherlands).
But that’s not all, the program of the event, lasting four days, will focus primarily on the following areas:
